You're right. If I were M$, I would wonder what I had to do.  Releasing good games, capable hardware, decent prices, cool features, etc just isn't getting the job done.

I like how you phrase it as capable hardware; not strong or even decent.

MS needs to just go the surface/ steambox route and make multiple models of differing specs. Let the locked specs be damned.
