Splatoon is proof that Xenoblade is the savior of the JRPG.

Splatoon will also live long and I'm sure the sequel will do great.  BTW which will sell more?  Both have a bundle but my money is on battlefront despite much stiffer FPS and TPS competition on Playstation. 

SWB will sell more, but that's obvious, is Star Wars, is Battlefront, is on 3 systems, there is no way a new IP on a system with Dreamcast level of sales sells more, but the potential of the ip is just huge, going by the attach rate Splatoon could have sold 15 or 20 milions on a succesfull console like the Wii.

You can't just transfer the attach rate like that.  Nintendo have a hardcore of a few million that will jump all over their mainstream quality titles like smash,  mario,  mario kart,  pokemon and now splatoon.  

 

You're right the comparison isn't fair.  How about ps4 version only vs splatoon?
