They should have released in June, where there are hardly any Wii games releasing, and none planned by Nintendo.
Same thing happened last summer, with Resident Evil 4. It was the only 'big' release in June, and it had a pretty solid debut (of course, the previous success and $30 price helped).
Releasing in April, with Mario Kart and GTA IV looming soon...
Note: I'm not saying it would have done loads better, but certainly better.
I went with The World Ends With You instead of Okami, since at least the former is an interesting New IP from Square-Enix whose sales could influence a sequel. The same can't be said about Okami-Clover Studios.
