Everything I listed is available for free eight now.  The season pass will be 4 big expansions next year.  Additionally they will make more free maps next year too.  

 

The maps in battlefront are like 100 times bigger than splatoons and far more detailed.  if it's light on content then splatoon is still light on content.  

Dude it doesnt matter if the maps are bigger, Splatoon is more fun, that's it. SWB being less shallow than Splatoon had almost 10 points less on meta, I wonder why. And the game is too shallow for 60$ if you dont buy those expansion, Splatoon too but it was growing constantly for free and is still doing it.
