The PS3 version will have better legs, simply because it will end up having a much larger userbase in Europe by the end of the year. The series has pretty much a 50/50 America/Europe split, with Europe actually seeing more sales sometimes.
Not only that, but the attach rate and hardware sales show that a lot of people haven't forgotten just which series of platform GTA grew up on.
