I would say that a lot of what you see would be confirmation bias combined with the fact that Nintendo absolutely makes some bonkers decisions.

Yet everybody praises the GC today, when it was " a cube for kids with no games" back in the day. Its only problem was not being a cheap DvD, because other than that GC had it all.
