Exactly. They made a good hardware at a competitive price and asked developers to have a varied catalogue. That's Sony's sucess, they played smart. But that's nothing to do with having balls or boldness. They played safe, but they played great. Nothing bad about it as I said. The path of innovation is hit and miss, depending on the public's reception. Nintendo suceeded with the Wii/DS and failed with the WiiU, that's a risk that comes with trying to do things a little different (at least, hardware-wise). And, well, the marketing was beyond awful. I saw commercials in my country marketing the console: "New Wii in HD". I know about people who think that it's not even a new console lol.
