While I do agree that Nintendo could/should have advertised this game better, you are right.
Fatal Frame series has little to no appeal in the west. PS2-era releases barely sold 150k each one. Even Spirit Camera sold terribly. Most people don´t even remember that the franchise still exists.
We should be glad that the game is available here.
By the way.... Nintendo is doing a bad job about advertsiment overall. No mention of the few third-party efforts for its console anywhere (Lego Dimensions, Guitar Hero Live, Rodea: Sky Soldier, Legend of Kay etc.....)
