It does not necessarily mean the console is too weak. This has bothered me for some time now when people overreact to this. "Technically impossible" could mean the engine the game runs on only works on other architectures. It could mean they wrote the code in a way that makes it "technically impossible" to port the game to the Wii U without putting lots of resources into it (they'd have to rewrite half the game, basically).

For instance: We use Ionic as a framework to develop our apps. Ionic-built apps only work on iOS and Android devices. So for us, it is "technically impossible" to port our apps to Windows Phone (without re-writing them completely). That doesn't mean Windows Phones are weaker than Android phones or iPhones. It just means it is technically impossible for us to port our apps in their current state.

The issue is the obvious connotation of the statement, that the implied idea that most will take away is that the Wii U is incapable of running the game on a technological level.  And all devs know this, they say it this way on purpose.  Rather than take responsibility for their decisions themselves - saying " we have no plans" or "we don't have the resources" etc - they intentionally pass the buck by putting the weight of the statement on the Wii U, implying the system is incapable of it rather than acknowledging they personally can't or won't put in the leg work for to port.  Its just PR spin, like big companies do, to sugar coat their decisions.  That's what people don't likem
