I disagree. A gen's best console is chosen by gamers with their wallets. Each purchase is a vote and each gamer can vote multiple times. Some gamers can easily say "This console was the best in that gen to me." and that's fine but in truth, console B is the best because more people agree with that. For example, "the xbox one is the best console this gen". That's a subjective truth much more so than "The PS4 is the best console this gen". That last bit is a universal truth because it's agreed upon by many people which is determined by sales..
