By the way, the poster assumes that the figure includes handheld consoles, it's not a sure thing....

Maybe not, but the 3DS is almost as irrelevent as the Vita in the UK.

How so?

What?
By no means...

3m vs 500k+(hardware)? LTD

300K VS 40K so far this year...

something far more rudimentary. No shelf space vs No shelf space :) at least in game retailers. Toy stores seem to do better with 3DS.

*Edit - If you check game retailers, the original DS still has more shelf space then either 8th gen handheld :/

I was suspecting that you mean that... SInce you would be insane saying that regarding software/hardware sales!:P

However, you should have clarified it previously!:P

For psv... It's  sadly way expected for obvious reasons!

But for 3DS...

I can't fathom it, almost 5 years after its release still sells great software/hardware wise.... Althougth, 3ds is almost 5 years old, that might explains the situation.

That's Nintendo's or retailers fault? DS has more shelf space...? Yeah pokemon and mario ds games keep selling well! I guess the same happens with wii, especially, given that wii still manages way big software sales taking into account its state!

The same in my country! lol I had  caught A clerk in a big store of   my country saying to people to buy ds or wii instead of 3ds or wii u because they're better... lol Apparently, he based that on their higher sales/bigger brand awareness!  I think it's retailers choice not Nintendo's bad channels stuffing policy.

Well, Amazon is huge in the UK!:P That's something!:P

To be honest ps4/xboxone are so dominant (not just or so much in sales but in the public concsiouness too) in the UK that doen't leave much space for the rest of consoles, literally! For instance if xboxone sales drop, ps4 shelf space will grow...
