He's most certainly not a hater; he's just a terrible analyst.
He looks at what's going on in the industry and makes broad statements and predictions based on what he can see in front of his face (rather than what might actually develop in the future considering all variables). Nintendo is doing badly, so the stuff he says is always going to be negative, because that's as far as his vision goes. If next gen the NX is a huge hit, he'll be making positive--albeit equally shallow--predictions about Nintendo.
