He is one of the worst Nintendo characters ever created, alongside Waluigi.

 

-Nah, Cranky was cool at one point.  He's actually the original Donkey Kong from the 80s.  He used to always talk badly about the "new" generation of Super Nintendo games compared to the glory days of the old 80s Arcade games.  In 1994, he was laugh out loud funny.  Not so much nowadays, though.
