Yeah, the 2013 VGAs were absolutely atrocious. That's why the VGAs are no longer a thing and The Game Awards are an independent show. The Game Awards last year was actually a good show. Not perfect and some awards were a bit trite, but it was cool. Felt like an actual celebration of the genre featuring people from the industry, media, and communities who actually give a crap. Not perfect, but at least it felt genuine.
