You discredit everything you're trying to say with the first sentense. "Bar the Wii." Literally nothing else matters but their newest product. Prior consoles selling less has absolutely no impact what-so-ever on the sales of the NX. Even though I don't think the NX will be a casual platform, both the Wii and mobile gaming are proof positive that the hardcore gaming audience means jack shit to the success of a gaming platform. Even then, saying it's doubtful unless they sell third parties is a non-statement. There is literally no compelling evidence that it won't sell to third parties. That it won't be, by your metrics, powerful. You're saying it's doubtful based on absolutely nothing. The NX could be less powerful than the XBO and still attract third parties, as proven by the PS2. It can not attract third parties and still be a massive success, as proven by the Wii. The only thing the NX needs to be a success is a good idea with good execution.

Uhh, the current Wii U is a perfect piece of evidence for third parties. They don't care about Nintendo now, why will they all of a sudden later? Hell even the astronomical Wii had laughable third party support, and third parties still barely made money on the damn machine. Once that casual audience fizzled out the consoles sales crawled. Is Nintendo going to find that casual audience again?
