So Nintendo's fanbase should accept being sold a $300 system on false promises, and buy the next system to get what they were repeatedly promised on this one?

That's like buying a car, finding out it doesn't have an engine, and being told that you have to buy another car to get the engine.

TBH i don't think many Nintendo fans buy the system on a promise of a future games based on Nintnedo track record. Because if they did, 5million would have been sold launch week.

Microsoft is the same, most people buy when their fav games come out.

Sony is the only console manufactuer that can sell a console based on hype of future games. The other two have never been able to sell that concept to the general consumer.

Promises of an epic open world HD Zelda would have been a primary factor in many people's decision to buy a Wii U. Heck, there are several examples right here.
