The prequels are good movies. But they have too much CGI and not enough character development and also less funny then the 4, 5 and 6 episodes that had less CGI and more realistic characters and interactions between them. Not sure how to put it.
I am glad Star trek director is at the head of episode 7 as Star track was both funny and with decent character interactions.
