R.I.P. artists who can write songs all by themselves.

Some of the greatest songs were penned by another though. Well atleast Adele is better and non-hypocritical than Beyonce who's been stealing credits since 1956. I mean, 1990s.

Some of the greatest songs like what? Titanic's theme? I'd argue that ALL of the most important songs, were written by the performer. Songs that are written for money are shallow, and meaningless. Songs that are written at 2am, on the floor of a dirty one bedroom apartment about someone's father who recently died of cancer... those are meaningful and heartfelt. Eric Claptons Tears in Heaven, which was written as a letter to his baby son who fell out of a window and died? THAT, is touching... THAT... is art.

You can keep your manufactured hits that have no basis on anything and were/are created to make a quick buck.
