We don't even know how long it is exclusive for. I say for a few months. All this however is really early. I don't even think the game will be out in 2017. We didn't see any gameplay or anything else.

Nomura stated that they are working only on the PS4 version because that's the one they want to push, especially for the Japanese market. It's "First on PS4" because they didn't cut out the possibility that it will be ported to other platforms in the future. But knowing SE times that may mean even a couple of years. Or never. Just look at Lightning Returns: FF XIII for PC. Is it finally out? I lost track of it.

Considering the sales of Type-0 and japanese games in general on Xbox, FF7R Xbox port would be useless for SE, even more 1 year later. Games like FF15 and KH3 were planned on Xbox One a long time before the PS4 domination, when developers and publishers were planning on a Xbox leader (I still don't understand why everyone seemed to think that way, but that's another matter). Everything's different now.

Is Dragon Quest 11 releasing on Xbox One? Are Dragon Quest Heroes 1 or 2? Dragon Quest Builders? Dragon Quest 10 (or other HD ports)? World of Final Fantasy? Kingdom Hearts 2.8?

Basically every SE japanese game announced after the beginning of PS4 domination is a PS exclusive (with sometimes a PC or Nintendo version/possibility). None of them are announced for Xbox One IIRC.

You want FF7R on Xbox One? One advice: be sure to buy a sh*tload of FF15 and Kingdom Hearts 3 copies, and ask your friends to do the same. Fill your garages and attics with games. A 80/20 PS4/One sales ratio like usual would definitely kill any relevance of a FF7R port. And the ratio will obviously be like that...
