Think about all the main Netflix shows - OitNB, House of Cards, Sens8 - all with gay/trans protagonists.

Ummmmm... there are gay people in the world.  It makes sense that out of the characters in Jessica Jones, some of them might be gay.  Having gay characters (who aren't portrayed in any particularly positive way) does not equate to an lbgt agenda.  Just means that they're acknowledging that gay people in fact do exist in New York City.  As a New Yorker, I can confirm this.
