If Dallas merely lost the game with a solid effort, I would still hope for the slim chance that Dallas could win out down the stretch and sneak into the playoffs from a pretty bad division (arguably the worst in the league, well, after today that's probably not arguable anymore lol).

The fact that they lost in a blowout, just two FGs before garbage time AND Romo is almost certainly done for the season, well, that's a wrap imho.

Eagles fans want to burn Chump Kelly at the stake and perhaps level the stadium after the past few weeks. They have a bad team with massive problems at so many areas that it may be a total rebuild phase coming for them.

With Dallas, I look at it pragmatically. They lost their QB1 and WR1 early in the season, and for long enough that it really sent them into a tailspin. The steady additional flow of injuries to other quality players helped to make things even worse. Many of the losses were games that were competitive right to the end, but an L is an L any way you cut it.

So I'm not mad, or even that disappointed to be honest. Shit happens lol :) Take any team in the NFL, and wipe out their QB1 and WR1, and kneecap a half dozen other good players, and you would probably get something similar. 2-9, 3-8, whatever.

For any of their remaining games to mean anything, NYG would have to lose 3 of their last 6 AND Dallas win out. Or NYG would have to lose 4 of their last 6 and Dallas could lose ONE more. It's just statistically ludicrous, even with Romo playing that's a tall order. With a backup QB, ehhhh. And you have no way of controlling NYG either way.

So yeah, I'm not going to be mad if Dallas wins meaningless games on the home stretch, but I would prefer them to lose the rest like that 7 game stretch we saw earlier to get that #1 pick. Take what the season gives you and make the best of it.
