So no maternity leave at all then? Like how long would you allow the woman off to have her child? Here in Ireland you're allowed just 3 paid sick days in the public sector, I guess mom will just have to hope she doesn't get sick the rest of the year right?

I would hope you don't think the company should take a hit because a woman decides to have a child?

By that I mean months of pay for no work done. What since does that make to any business model? The company didn't hire you to procreate, If you decide to then you should be willing to settle for a lesser position in the company. By taking months of paid leave you are affect co-workers who may have to do unwanted overtime or loose there Job if the company is struggling and a number of women are on paid leave. Of course that's a very small probability but every worker getting paid for work they are not doing is a small weakening of the company overall. Harsh, I know and I'm likely to nor agree with it on an individual basis but it's a fact that that makes no since to any business.

Just to clarify you are against any form of maternity for either gender? Up to and including making the woman take a day from her sick leave when she goes into labour to deliver the child?

Gotta keep things equal!
