Of course PS4 fans want to win BF but Sony will prioritise profit. If they feel that winning BF by dropping price will increase install base sufficiently to maximise profits they will do it. It's not has simple has selling more equals more profits, there are many factors to consider.
Sony do not have the same mentality as us.

Exactly, of course winning is nice and might coincide with getting the best profits. People might have a pop at MS firesales but the person crunching the numbers would of predicted that losing money in the short run will give them better profits in the long run. Both companies don't have monkeys working all this out.
BTW the Amazon Europe link http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=209826&page=2#25 . Kind of abused it recently because hard to get motivation with lack of activity.
