I know that biology plays into our soecial and economical status, but I am a feminist, so I believe economy should find a way to address the situation. I believe that Both and women should be granted maternity leave in the most critical months post birth. Women today dont want to be left with the burden and they shouldnt be. It should be a trade off. Women back in the day had to deal with it and some would've rather had it that way but thats not all women. Ideals among women are not always shared so people must.

Also, women can have above average testosterone levels as well. That does contribute to competitiveness.Women are starting to break the glass ceiling. They have already surpassed men in Job placement and education.

So you say the company should take a hit because someone decides to have a child. I don't think that's how business works. If you want to have kids then you should not be fighting your way up the corporate ladder, go find a job that when you want to have kids it won't impact the people you work with/for. You are putting other jobs in a slightly less secure situation. Not cool.

So no maternity leave at all then? Like how long would you allow the woman off to have her child? Here in Ireland you're allowed just 3 paid sick days in the public sector, I guess mom will just have to hope she doesn't get sick the rest of the year right?

I would hope you don't think the company should take a hit because a woman decides to have a child?
