That was a good read. Some things he said is how I feel how the industry strayed a bit when it came to designing games, moving a bit away from focusing on the core game play and mechanics, and more towards graphical power and presentation, which I wasn't very fond of. I don't really get how Ninten are like indies, but, alright....
It's interesting that Uemura Masayuki takes credit in being part of saving the industry, and I think he should. It's a great thing he did, and I am thankful for it. : )
