I got rid of the whole GWX because it was doing that background download into my SSD where my OS is at... and yeah only got 240gb of that to go around, didn't fancy it being taken up by an OS I wont be jumping over to any time soon. (also don't have a data cap so re-downloading the files here is less costly for me)

Yeh that's just what I sorted out myself a few minutes ago, I thought since I've opted out of the update altogether, I may as well kill GWX while I'm at it, gave full right to myself for changing the folder and it's EXE's entirely and renamed them while also editing the scheduled tasks to further make sure it doesn't bother me again.

Yeah the issue was a few months back they changed that update KB3535583 from being optional to recommended to get more people to have it on their system, now that it has turned into nagware if it's still left running on Win7 popping up with stats about how many people are loving Win10 and How easy it is to update so I've had a few calls to help people remove it completely, should also add that update to your list of blocked updates just so it doesn't redownload again, can always unblock it later if you want to upgrade since the free Get Windows 10 program runs for the whole first year of the OS being on the market.
