because PS4's and Xbox One's peak year will be over then. Many people will own a PS4 or Xbox One at the end of 2017 and they are ready to buy a secondary console, a Nintendo console. But nobody on earth will buy a Nintendo console as his primary console after the fail called Wii U.

But maybe 2017 is PS4's peak year... or 2018. Shall Nintendo delay the NX launch until 2019 then? And all the 2015 and 2016 games for PS4 and Xbox One don't suddenly disappear in 2017, NX has to go against bigger and bigger game libraries the longer Nintendo waits.

Nintendo can't compete in this Generation anymore. The train has already left the station and they didn't jump aboard it.

There aim has to be to get people buying the console as a secodary console. And then prepare with it for the next generation.

As late as possible - far away from PS4's peak year.

If there are more people with the choice between PS4 and NX, then it will be bad for Nintendo.
