Uncharted and Gears of War are more akin in formula than Tomb Raider. The only thing those two have in common is platforming with a similar theme. If you've played Uncharted you could easily tell this game was inspired by Resident Evil 4 (Vantage point), Winback & Killswitch (frantic coverbased shooting) along with Sony's well known flare for cinemeatics. Naughty Dog took what they learned from Naughty Dog with platform to combine with the other peoplel theyve learned from to turn Uncharted into a shooter where your enemy could be approached swiftly from above or below. The melee is based on button combinations.

P.S.

There is a reason why the old Tomb Raider style went dead is because Crystal Dynamics  couldnt get the core formula to resonate with most people. Naughty Dogs development style which can be seen between The Last of Us and Tomb Raider are quite striking. Tomb Raider is more like Uncharted than Uncharted was ever like Tomb Raider in the feel. As I said, theme and platforming and but Uncharted much like Gears of War had inspiration from elsewhere.

I still think that Uncharted was mostly based in Tomb Raider.Sure,i dont mean the entire game.Obviosly the gameplay is more similar to others, like Gears(and saying it is inspired in RE4 is kinda redundant, since every single modern third person shooter is based in RE4 vantage point to a certain degree)But if you are going to list where Uncharted inspired every single detail from, the list is going to be endless.New games always build from successes from past games, either by improving it or taking the core concept and changing it for the better(or worse). What i meant by UC being inspired by Tomb Raider is that the overall theme and idea of it comes from Tomb Raider. The platforming, the overall theme of the story and game(of a adventurous guy/girl goes on a quest to find a mystery, usually about a ancient civilization or having ties with out own history, and having some sort of supernatural phenomenon with it).And since the strong part of Uncharted is the story that is telling and its characters, the game that influenced it is also the most important.Just because the gameplay is obviously based in other games, dosnt mean that Uncharted is, in my view, heavily based around the ideas that Tomb Raider had.

And I personally dont think that gears and Uncharted are that similar.Gears is more of an action game, its more about the gameplay and the action scenes than everything else.Uncharted, while it has the same focus as gears on having great action moments, focuses more on its story, carachters and atmosphere.I may be wrong, since i just played a bit of the first Gears, but I still think they are very different.

The only difference in bechanics between Uncharted and Gears of War is verticality, evasion tactics (which in gears is closer to Tomb Raider with the rolls and flips) and style of melee (one is a quick death and the other is a sequence. Uncharteds cqc system is deeper). They are both coverbased action games based on cinematics, gritty close quarters movement. Many games hve been inspired by Gears and Uncharted this year, including the resurfacing of Tomb Raider....so Tomb Raider would not be the first. No different than God of War learned from Devil May Cry, set standards for the industry and then EA made two clones off of God of War in Dantes Inferno and Star Wars the Force Unleashed.

FYI...Uncharted was originally supposed to be a fantasy RPG until Sony directed Naughty Dog to make a third person action/adventure shooter since Microsoft had their own TPS in the works (which at the time wasnt theirs but they were paying Epic for exclusivity by publishing it.)
