Also, lower the price won't solve Vita's biggest issue in the US. It doesn't have games US gamers want. A bunch of niche stuff isn't going to move hardware.

The PS3 and 360 are seeing their support cut back in spite of selling significantly more software than Vita. So even if Vita were to get a sales spike, there is litle hope of support coming back.

PSV current price is too high for many potential buyers, so they probably don't even bother to look for titles they could like, as they won't buy the console in the first place. Also, a larger potential user base could mean more SW support. Currently PSV is in a vicious circle, but a better price and some form of relaunch could break it, at least up to a certain degree.

I agree the price is to high, especially for a platform with so little support.

There are things Sony could do to stimulate Vita sales. But it wouldn't be enough to bring back notable 3rd party support. Even Sony doesn't want to make Vita games. Again, 3rd parties have lost interest in PS3 and 360 even though they move significantly more software than Vita could ever hope.
