| Arlo said: I've been saying this for forever, and I don't think anyone believes me. They do it with toooonnnns of games. I call them out and I'm right 95% of the time, and I don't think it's coincidence. They just want to placate us, so they give a release date they never had any intention of keeping. Star Fox is another one, and I remember Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze being that way too. They give us a date, I go "Yeah right," and some time later it's the ol' Please Understand. |
Star Fox, I completely understand the delay for. The game was being rushed to that date as it was, and once Iwata passed, Miyamoto had to recede into a business role. With Miyamoto, you know he won't give an inch on a game he's directly supervising, so he eventually caved and delayed it.
There was no reason for TF's delay, though. That said, I also don't think that was a case of giving a date to placate fans. I think they delayed it last minute chiefly to pad out 2014.
Zelda, it was probably planned, yeah. That's hard to deny at this point. The others have strong arguments that could say otherwise though.
You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt! I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading. After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!
