That's in Europe! In the USA there are no basic models left...
Basic model is 8gb white wii u version in the west!
You don't get it because you probably ignore the fact, that white wii u 8gb (basic models) production has been ceased since 2013 because most of the people were prefering the premium ones, i.e black wii 32gb wii u in spite of being more expensive by 40$! The remaining units of 8gb white wii u are a dead stock, hence the way lower prices!
In that period black wii u 32gb price, fell from 349$ to 299$, technically that was not a price drop, since there was already wii u at 299, just with different color and the subquadruple hard disk capacity! Black 32gb version got the price of White 8gb version!
