The most obvious choice right off the bat, other than Next Level, would be Platinum. Having Platinum as an exclusive developer, instead of just a friendly third party, would be to their benefit.
Honestly, they SHOULD have bought Hudson Soft years ago, instead of letting Konami do it, because look what Konami has done with all those Hudson properties since: jack shit. Nintendo certainly could have at least had a nice stream of digital content from Hudson, and helped keep Hudson alive.
I have long advocated the notion that Nintendo should buy Sega, but not only would that be very expensive to buy them from Sammy, but it's also questionable as to how much impact that would have. On the ONE hand, having exclusive ownership of ALL those Sega franchises would be great. But the caveat would then become: who do they get to actually DEVELOP said franchises? Because Sega themselves more than obviously can't develop worth a shit anymore, and that is really, really sad.
