Well for one having them be multiplatform means more can play the game, for another it means I save money on my own wallet by buying said games on my platform of choice, by snatching said IP's nad making them exclusive to a console means holding them hostage vs letting them go to other platforms, especially IP's that are already multiplatform. This is also why some Japanese devs are starting to see that they can also make money on PC than staying exclusive to a single system or two, it ebenfits me and benefits them since I can get said games on my system of choice like others can and they get more money.
The other thing is that this gen I really don't see much of a reason to buy a current gen system besides a WIi U, that itself is a subjective matter so you can't really tell me I'm missing out on something I wasn't interested in, I am however interested in IP's that are becming multiplatform and new IP's that aim to be that way, buyign up studios/devs to make IP's exclusive to sell a system isn't really going to benefit me at all, it would benefit those that bought the IP or studio though but at the end of the day I;m supposed to benefit for actually buying the game but I can't when I lose out to having to buy multiple systems that I don't have much of an interest in, this is why I prefer games being as multiplat as possible.
I just don't agree or see it being logical in buying and snatching up studios to sell a console when they can also make money on both consoles, PC's, handhelds etc. I just don't see it being natural or right to do such a thing because it in no way benefits me, I don't get how someone eneds to benefit from me not being trated the same, it seems almost warped to me for people to demand others get less games or treatment.
