That's pretty comprehensive that people would never imagine that the Wii successor, a console that did 100m+ on a few years of support, would bomb THAT hard. It wasn't logic to think of that at all back in the day. But as you can see on this first page you mentioned, most people believed it would do around 50m, which is already a big drop and a way of saying that the console featured many wrong decisions and concepts. They just couldn't imagine the system would struggle to hit 15 or 20m. :P |
To me it was very logical.
I tried very hard to explain why, but all Nintendo fans could do is say that it was fine.....it was gonna do good.
How could it do "good" with so many obvious problems?
To me, any objective person could see all of the problems ( shitty internet, little 3rd party support, Wii being a fad, underpowered hardware, gamers think Nintendo is for kids, Nintendo censoring games, etc) coming a mile away and say this is bad.
Fans don't have to be blind. Hell, I'm a fairlly hardcore fan of Playstations, but even I chastise them for their internet issues.
Again, fans don't have to be blind.
