The problem for Nintendo is they have a core of less than 5m (home console) fans who will support them to the end. They will keep buying the same old franchises. So Nintendo keep producing them. Meaning we get less new ips and nearly all their games are family friendly.
Unless they can strike gold with w future fad they'll be stuck with their ever shrinking hardcore and will never make it mainstream again.
The handheld I'm sure will decline again but it shouldn't be too bad. Unless mobile has done more damage then we thought.
