At this point, I think it would be hard to determine what the price of the NX will be. If it is a console and handheld, having it at that price while keeping it at that price seems impossible. I don't think they can make it powerful and split while keeping it at 299, unless Ninten is willing to bleed to make a base...

I don't think Nintendo is willing to make a loss in hardware to get people on the NX, although if the mobile project make "Wii-DS like profits" I can see them becoming willing to take losses.

Yeah, I don't think so. I don't think there has been many, if any moments, where Ninten took a loss to make a base...? o:

I suppose it won't be a problem to get people to buy them separately, but getting them to buy them both while having the same software may be. o:

But if you only have to buy the software once, and can play it on the go it would be enticing. IF you had to buy the game twice to essentially play the same game then it will fail. Odds are, if they are going to share the same library, you will only buy the game once, but can take it anywhere with the HH.

They could use cartridges, they might get 32-64 gb SD cards very cheap if mas-produced, the size of both HH-HC would be smaller (or more space for other things), games would load faster and you could carry the saved games on the cartridge with you, or even the DLC. For digital games, they could just enter through the MyNintendo account, so you can download it on both systems.

The only problem would be the storage capacity of the handheld part. If it can play HC games, the thing would need to an storage of 500gb-1Tb at least, and I don't know how to do that and keep the price intact.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
