Do people realize ISIS by the CIA's own estimates is only 30,000 or so troops? Freaking Ethiopia has a larger standing army. 

If the US or Russia reeeeeally wanted to they could wipe them off the face of the planet like a bug in a week without much fuss with regular weapons.
