Very well said. :)
It's far from a perfect game, but as a horror fan I thoroughly enjoyed it overall. The game's very Japanese look, feel, and storytelling is a nice change of pace from Western horror, and it sports one of the best uses of the Gamepad to date. It's also very refreshing to have a game that doesn't throw spectacle in your face at every turn, and understands the value of restraint.
Regarding controls, I'd recommend turning the turnspeed sensitivity way up, as this alleviates some of the stiff slowness of the default settings. Made fighting ghosts and general navigation much more manageable for me.
My playthrough of the campaign clocked in at a bit over 16 hours.
