I really don't see that combined effort. CoD-games are expensive in all digital stores, no need to blame Microsoft.
CoD Black Ops 1 @ Steam = €39.99: http://store.steampowered.com/app/42700/
CoD Black Ops 1 @ PSN = $49.99: https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/call-of-duty-black-ops-with-first-strike/cid=UP0002-NPUB30584_00-CODBLOPSFIRSTBUN
CoD Black Ops 1 "Ultimate Edition" @ PSN = $94.49: https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/call-of-duty-black-ops-ultimate-edition/cid=UP0002-NPUB30584_00-CODBLOPSCOMPLETE
CoD Black Ops 2 @ PSN = $59.99: https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/call-of-duty-black-ops-ii-with-revolution-map-pack/cid=UP0002-NPUB31054_00-CODBLACKOPS2DL00
CoD Black Ops 2 @ PSN = $99.99: https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/call-of-duty-black-ops-ii-and-season-pass-bundle/cid=UP0002-NPUB31054_00-CODBO20000000000
CoD Black Ops 2 MSRP @ Nintendo = $59.99: http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/-8WKvrMc9w9N0vLY-C357KbbF-KdScA5
CoD Black Ops 2 @ Steam = €59.99: http://store.steampowered.com/app/202970/
And Activision ain't obligated either to lower the prices for their games after a while; we on the other hand aren't forced to buy them, if we think they aren't worth their price.
