I mean compare the impact that the death of character in a movie has to a character from a tv series you've "known" for "years". After watching the Red Wedding episode on GOT I felt sad for over a day and didn't know what was wrong with me.

I think that really depends on how the movie / TV series is structured. To this day I still cry with Wilson's death scene in the movie Cast Away.

I agree. I just think with movies it can be intense but it doesn't last long. With tv shows you watch the next episode or wait for the next episode to come out and you're like "damn, I can't believe x is no longer part of the team". I'm still not over Green Ranger losing his powers and not being part of the team.
