But the drop GT6 had was massive. Even though other PS3 games at the time were selling very well.

People have been saying Halo was decling since ODST. If it has finally declined significantly, oh well.

That was because of prologue, which was an attempt to keep the games in relevance due to long development times.

About the decline of Halo, I guess it would mean they were right? IMO, it happened when they switched to 343.

Because of prologue? You're gonna need to elaborate on that argument. I say there was simply less interest in another Gran Turismo at that moment. Perhaps the next will do better.

I guess you're ignoring the success of Halo: Reach and Halo 4. That kills your argument.

Gran Turismo is declining. It does a lot right but also does alot wrong. What's annoying is that they are to stubborn to change it for the better. GT Sport doesn't look like changing for the better either. It was probably the most anticlimatic GT announcement in GT history. It might be great and the greatness was lost in translation because I'm still not quite sure what it's about but it just seemed like a version of GT we don't really need.

Halo has also declined, no doubt about it. Unless it bucks the trend we are looking at 5M sales maximum. This leaves MS in a situation. Do they reduce the budget for the next game to allow for the lower projected sales and risk further decline or spend big to try and get it back to what it was and chance losing millions. Sony are in the same situation with GT.
