if you dont want to believe the numbers, feel free to do so. though these leaks proved time and time again that they are legit. it seems you are upset about the news, and its your right to not believe them. but really, its pretty clear that they are legit.

The previous leakers, who were a lot more obscure than this George, have never been confirmed. Even when we hade a "official" leak that the mainstream media reporte in july 2014 they were never specifics.

Now, NPD_George comes out of the blue, claiming he doesn´t know much about NeoGaf AND just in time to explode one of the most prediteble and boring months for NPD reports.

He brings very specifics numbers that were never disclosed. Even the famous NeoGaf leakers with years of monthly leaks never been so pricise.

And more, this is the best story to feature the Gafers favorite narative - XOne is a piece of junk. Halo is dying. Microsoft is lying and etc...

You don't have to believe any leakers. The official, confirmed UK numbers corroborate this performance. Anyone thinking instead of wishing/hoping would have guessed these H5 sales after seeing those. What's "unbelievable" is how anyone who saw a 8% attach ratio in the UK thought the US could have one of 40% (that would be 3.4M FW BTW).. Which is the only way the PR would not be BS.

150k / 1.9M = 8%

8% of 8.5M (X1 LTD in the US at the end of October) = 680k. US rate for Halo usually slightly higher so add a few points, let's go with 10%. Of 8.5M, that's 850k.

Simple, easy to follow math.

Tbh honest I can see attach rates being a big problem for many future games across both MS and Sony, it's not just Halo or Forza. Some of these third party IPs/names have become so big and also expensive (season passes, dlcs, microtransactions) that it's going to keep eating away at their pie of published games.
