Wow, really bad numbers for the beginning of the holiday season. But then again, this entire holiday season seems very empty to me. There are a few high profile games, but it just seems to me that previous years were more packed with must have titles.
Hopefully Fallout, CoD and Star Wars can do their magic, at least with Black Friday all companies can put in a "huge % increase" in their next NPD.
Kudos to VGC, they hit XOne numbers almost spot-on, good tracking. My guess is that PS4 numbers got missed because they expected a price cut to give them a small boost, and instead it dropped almost 10% from last year. Tough to estimate that.
I wonder why Nintendo didn't put out any statements, they are usually very fair and give us a lot of numbers. Could it be that they succumbed to this overall slowdown as well?
