Not a whole year, this game seems planned for holiday 2016, however it is possible that delay it by a few months into very early 2017 (kinda like donkey kong tropical freeze). Part of me wants to say this won't happen, but the other part of me notes that we have yet to any single gameplay footage inside of dungeons or against bosses

When delay in another year than its "whole year", and no, this is clearly Holiday game, plan was to be 2015. holiday game and now is 2016. holiday game. Very simple.

I'd like to believe you, but after so many past delays of other games, and the lack of gameplay footage that shows actual dungeons, I won't dismiss the idea of another delay

Like I said, of course that could get delayed again like any other game out there, but chances for that are very very low. Because we already have one delay for whole year, Nintendo already wanted to release this game this holiday season, but they wanted more time to develop game and whole year is more than enuf time. Also next year is 30th anniversary of Zelda, so time will be perfect for first HD, true open world and most ambitious Zelda ever. Not to mention that if NX launch is next year it will cross launch.

You basicly dont have any reason to fear that Zelda U will be delayed again.
