Lord was a text based game hosted on BBS (Bulletin Board Systems) Where you made a charecter, male or female, and largely by chance, went in a forest, fought, gained experience and gold, leveled up by beating a master, bought new weapons and Armour, with the goal of eventually beating the Red Dragon. There were classes with special abilities as well.
Mods were made, other areas to visit, new enemies, new weapons etc, but basically you logged in every day, posted messages, went to the forest, hit A about 15 times a fight, then went back to town, flirted with some random people for charm, and went about your normal day till tommorow.
