Frame rate is a case by case basis for me. I can play at a solid 24fps on something like Fallout. Even in fighters and racers I see no issues with 30fps, as long as it is rock solid. It is actually response time that matters in most games, or the time it takes from me pushing a button to the game responding.

On the other hand, 1080p is essential. I have a 75" TV that I game on primarly. At 900p things start looking rough and limit my play time. At 720p my eyes start bleeding after about 3 hours. It is like I am playing PS1 games again. Now I can always hop into the other room and use the 43" TV and things would be much better, but then it would not be the same premium experience I want when playing the latest big budget titles.

So I vote 1080p or above with a solid frame rate of 24fps or greater. In my experience resolution hurts my experience, but frame rate does not.
