I've never understood the fixation with story in Zelda games. None of them are great. None. Of. Them. Wind Waker's is the strongest from a narrative perspective, and compared to any real work of literature, it's nothing. I don't understand how anyone who reads who reads books, watches movies, or has seen an aclaimed television series can claim with a straight face that something like OoT has even a remotely "good" story. OoT's story is less than mediocre. MM's story is mediocre. WW's story is alright. TPs story is poorly written. SSs story is fanfiction-bad, and commits the agregious sin of also fucking up time travel. The 2D Zelda's aren't even worth mentioning. |
Like I said, I really love Skyward Sword story because very strong emotion between Link and Zelda. I want more of that in Zelda U.
