What you guys don't understand is that Miyamoto is fucking insane. I mean, jumping into the air and finding invisible bricks in the sky that mushrooms come out of that give you extra lives? Imagine how insane that sounded in 1983. We take that for granted now. Games where you just pet dogs? BONKERS. These games are huge successes, and he's still got his magic touch.
Yeah these ideas sound completely nuts, but isn't that why we love him?
