Analysts like Reisinger demonstrate my point perfectly on the collective industry's apparent unwillingness to accept the fact that Nintendo has, in reality, not faded into irrelevance. This is evident in the fact that the bashing is mainly focused on the PS3, with a very dismissive view of Nintendo that seems to paint their downfall as a foregone conclusion without ever explaining why. Let's go over his worst offenses:
1. How can he say that focusing on innovation in gaming necessarily comes at the expense of online gaming, let alone spin innovation as a bad thing?
2. He gave absolutely no reason as to why the Wii's "viability is running low", despite his own acknowledgement that the Wii reigns supreme, and that even the PS3's sales are stronger than the 360.
3. He claims the 360's overall game lineup is "much stronger" than the PS3, without naming a single example outside of Halo 3, dismissing Nintendo outright as "clinging to the value of its first-party titles".
4. This one's for the PS3, but somehow, he managed to say that Blu-Ray makes the PS3's online experience worse. Honestly, I don't know how he did that - even the worst trolls on gaming forums can't spin facts this far from reality.
Of course, I figure I'm preaching to the choir here, considering how many holes have already been poked in his piece of trash before this post. If his article was a door, it would be a screen door made of swiss cheese that was attacked by starving rats before it left the factory.
