Anime graphics =/= realistic graphics, besides, I think that the visual style of Zelda U looks better than XCX by miles. XCX isn't the prettiest game around, neither was XC, especially when it comes to characters, their models are hideous and animations are pretty static. Since when doesn't Zelda U have few loading screens? I thought that was the whole selling point during its reveal. Aonuma kept talking about one seamless connected world. Day and night cycle are also present in Zelda, and dynamic weather was present in Wind Waker for sure (can't remember if that was the case for TP or OOT), anyway, there's no reason to assume that's not present in Zelda U. So there's that. And Zelda doesn't need multiplayer, vehicle/character customisation and weapon crafting (although that was present in some Zelda games). To me, Zelda U seems way more ambitious than XCX. Because IN MY OPINION, Zelda has always had superior environment, enemy and character design. |
I didn't say they were realsitic, I just said more so than LoZ which is 100% true.
Which has better designs in ones opinion also does not mark ambition, but preference.
